“Soon after opening our first location, we quickly realized how badly the area needed accessible and affordable healthcare, so we immediately began looking at locations for our next facility,” explains Zucker. “Wendell is the fastest growing town in the entire state. It made sense to expand in an area where we are needed the most.”
The population of the up-and-coming town has more than doubled since 2010, with young families making up the bulk of the new faces.

Including the Wendell clinic, AFC has opened 40 new locations so far this year and is on track to expand to 500 locations in the coming years.
Like all American Family Care clinics, AFC Wendell offers state-of-the-art treatment across a broad range of services, including primary care. AFC medical providers treat and diagnose illnesses like the flu or a cold, injuries and accidents, including broken bones, and help patients manage a variety of health conditions ranging from arthritis to diabetes to high blood pressure. AFC also offers pre-employment physicals, drug screening, and treatment of work-related injuries.
AFC Wendell is located at 2200 Treelight Way in Wendell. The clinic offers extended hours serving the community seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekends.
