SOMERSET, N.J. – (July 31, 2024) – American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care, primary care, and occupational medicine, is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest clinic, AFC Somerset. This state-of-the-art healthcare facility is located in the heart of Franklin Township, at 120 Cedar Grove Lane in Cedar Grove Shopping Center. The new medical facility opened its doors on Monday, July 22.
“We’re thrilled to increase access to affordable healthcare for a variety of immediate needs in Somerset,” said Imran Fayazi, independent owner and operator of AFC Somerset. “Our mission is to provide a comprehensive suite of medical services for our community’s urgent and routine needs.”
AFC Somerset was born out of the New Jersey family’s dinner conversation. The Fayazis recognized the growing demand for urgent care and decided it would be a great opportunity for them to work together as a family. Imran, Managing Partner of AFC Somerset, with his mother, Aliya, DNP, FNP, serving as a provider at the clinic. Imran’s aunt, Arshiya, took a pause from her legal career to play a key role as the center ’s administrator.

- Physicals: Conveniently walk in to receive a routine check-up. Providers can also perform sport and pre-employment physicals.
- Pediatric Urgent Care: No need to wait for a pediatrician’s next available appointment; AFC Somerset takes a child-friendly medical approach to help treat the most common illnesses and injuries.
- On-Site Lab Testing and Vaccinations: AFC Somerset has an on-site laboratory for a wide variety of lab work, including flu, COVID-19, and STD testing. Patients can receive results within minutes. Staff can also perform immunizations such as the flu vaccine.
- State-of-the-Art Diagnostics: Digital X-ray equipment allows the staff to take and read X-rays within minutes.
- Occupational Health Exams: These services include DOT physicals, return-to-work exams, and drug testing.
- Extended Hours: The clinic is open seven days a week with early morning and evening hours to accommodate working parents. No appointment is necessary. Patients can save their spot in line online before getting to the center.
- Immigration Physicals: AFC Somerset plans to offer immigration physicals in the future.

AFC Somerset is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
