Nation’s Largest Urgent Care Provider Lands on Prestigious List
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – (February 27, 2024) – Forbes named American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care, accessible primary care, and occupational medicine, one of America’s Best Midsize Employers in 2024. Birmingham-based AFC is ranked number 173 among the Top 400 best midsized employers in the United States overall, and number 28 among the best healthcare and social services employers recognized on the list.
“We’re incredibly honored to be recognized as one of the best employers in the nation. It’s a testament to our commitment to create a positive workplace environment where our team members feel valued, supported, and motivated to provide the best healthcare possible,” said Randy Johansen, CEO of AFC.
This annual ranking, conducted in partnership with the market research firm Statista, highlights the top American companies across all industries, as seen through the eyes of their workforce. America’s Best Midsize Employers is based on a comprehensive, independent survey of more than 170,000 U.S.-based employees. Respondents include current employees, recent former employees, and those familiar with the company through personal connections. Survey respondents were asked whether they would recommend their employer to others. Midsize companies are classified as those with 1,000 to 5,000 employees.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the collective voice of those who know us best — our employees. Having them recommend us as an employer because of the workplace environment we have created is both gratifying and humbling. It’s also motivating, as we work to ensure that our employees always feel supremely valued and supported in the future.” said Johansen.
