It is the holiday season once again & that means a lot of us will be traveling home from the holidays to see our families & friends. Some of you will have to go extremely long distances by plane, train or multiple forms of transportation. Traveling isn’t always the most comfortable experience, you have to deal with lots of people, crammed spaced & a hectic sort of energy. If your hygiene is suffering while traveling this can make you commute terrible. AFC Urgent Care Bound Brook is here to stop you from smelling like the Grinch this holiday season with some hygiene tips while traveling!

Face care

Your face is one of the most critical parts of your body because it is what people see when they are looking at you. Your face can suffer a lot of stress & filth when traveling a long distance home for the holidays. A good tip to keeping your face clean is to prep by bringing a portable face wash. Containers are sold at your local convenience store that has all sorts of sizes; some of which can even be carried on a plane! Make sure to take the time out of a long commute to wash your face, not only will you feel refreshed but you will be thanking yourself later when the holiday pictures come back & your face has no marks of stress.

Deodorant & Dry soap

Travel days can lead to a lot of strain & stress on the body, this can lead to your deodorant running low. The last thing anyone wants to be is that person on the train who doesn’t smell the best. Bringing deodorant is a game changer because it can help you stay fresh & keep that stress off of you. Dry soap is an excellent alternative to shower soap if you don’t have access to a bathroom. A dry solvent can be applied anywhere such as an airplane bathroom or shared bathroom & will help you get that shower fresh feeling without getting in a shower!

Hand washing

When you are traveling your hands will touch thousands of germs each day. By washing your hands frequently, you are doing yourself a favor by beating sickness & by protecting yourself. If you do not have access to a bathroom or a sink you should carry around hand sanitizer. Hand Sanitizer is perfect for on the go situations & they come in travel sizes as well so they can be carried around anywhere.
