APRN or Physician Assistant (PA)

We are looking for a friendly and energetic APRN or Physician Assistant (PA) for our urgent care center in Fairfield County. Responsibilities:

  • To provide high quality patient care
  • Manage all patient care while on shift
  • Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed using EMR system
  • Administer common medications for urgent care patients

Educational Requirements

  • Obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) certification up to 6 months of employment

Experience Requirements

  • Clinical practice history requirement is 2 years
  • Able to perform typical urgent care procedures 1 year or older
  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients and family
  • Active and current Connecticut medical license
  • Active and current DEA number
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Experience with providing Workers' Compensation services preferred
  • Bilingual is a plus but not mandatory

LPN (Full Time)

Objective: Provide direct patient care and specialized medical treatment in high-volume urgent care setting, treating pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and non-life threatening traumas. Collaborate with attending physicians and clinical staff to ensure highest quality of care consistent with the goal of achieving positive patient outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Triage incoming patients, rapidly assessing patient needs and determining appropriate actions
  • Assist physicians with procedures including IVs insertion, medication administration, injections, wound care, and dressing changes
  • Documents all necessary treatments given in patients chart
  • Documents all necessary nursing procedures used in EMR for billing/coding purposes
  • Maintain examination rooms for necessary supplies and equipment
  • Prepares supplies and equipment and assist physicians during examinations, treatment and minor procedures
  • Provide documentation and follow up as required for quality assurance
  • Ensure laboratory quality control/compliance.
  • Report/fax all reportable infectious disease cases to the State of CT
  • Monitor, track and order medical supplies for the clinic
  • Knowledgeable of Occupational Health Services, HIPPA and OSHA Compliance
  • Supervise LPNs and Mas
  • Monitor patient flow to ensure a smooth efficient and effective patient care
  • Communicate identified clinical issues and concerns in a constructive manner and participate in solutions
  • Performs other urgent clinical duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) or more years of nursing experience in emergency care or urgent care settings
  • Very good interpersonal relationship skills and can work and relate well with employees and patients
  • Outstanding communication skills, especially the ability to communicate instructions and procedures for treatments
  • Computer literate and very proficient in using computer software and EMR
  • Bilingual is a plus!
