AFC Hits A Home Run!
AFC Urgent Care becomes Corporate Sponsors for
the Bridgeport North End Little League
(Bridgeport, Conn. – February 4, 2015) – AFC Urgent Care is extremely excited to announce that they will be a corporate sponsor for the Bridgeport North End Little League (NELL) for the upcoming season. 
Dr. Steven Heffer, Medical Director and Owner of AFC in Bridgeport, prides himself focusing on the families in the community above all else. “When the opportunity arose to become a sponsor for NELL, I jumped at the idea,” said Dr. Heffer. “For the past year, we were the General Practitioner of the Bridgeport Bluefish, so why not continue to support baseball leagues, especially for the youth.”
NELL, a baseball league for the youth in the Bridgeport area, just celebrated their 60th Anniversary and are excited for this upcoming Spring season. Events include breaking ground for their three new Cal Ripken turf fields and co-hosting their first health night with AFC . The health night will educate and assist NELL’s coaches, parents and volunteers with concussion awareness. NELL is appreciative of AFC ’s donation as it will help with the league’s start up fees, uniforms, equipment, training and much more.
Dr. Heffer strives daily to educate and improve the quality of life of the neighborhoods in the Bridgeport area. It is his hope that the Center will continue to advance health outcomes for patients as well as build a healthier community in Bridgeport for generations to come.
