What To Expect During Your Immigration Physical in Broadway, CO

Your immigration medical exam is a multi-step process designed to assess your overall health and ensure compliance with U.S. immigration requirements. During your visit, our civil surgeon will conduct:

  • A full medical history review, including vaccinations and previous illnesses
  • A physical examination to assess your general health, checking vital signs and assessing overall fitness
  • Required laboratory tests, which may include blood tests, and x-rays
  • Review and administration of any necessary vaccinations per USCIS guidelines

If additional vaccinations or follow-up testing are required, we will guide you through the process to help you meet all requirements. Once your exam is complete, we will provide your results in a sealed Form I-693 envelope, as required by USCIS, along with a copy for your records.

What To Bring To Your Immigration Exam

To ensure a smooth process, please bring the following items to your immigration physical:

  • A valid, government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or other official identification)
  • Your Form I-693, which we will complete during your visit
  • Any available vaccination records
  • Any documentation related to previous medical conditions or treatments
  • Payment for the exam
  • If you are not fluent in English, please plan to bring your translator with you

Once your immigration physical is complete, we will carefully review all required documents to ensure accuracy before sealing your results for USCIS submission. If your results indicate that additional vaccines or follow-up care is needed, we’ll provide guidance on how to proceed.

AFC Urgent Care FAQs

  • How long will the exam take?

AFC offers some of the lowest wait times around, with many patients getting in to see a provider in less than 15 minutes. Your exam will probably take around a half hour.

  • What happens if my physical reveals I have a medical problem?

We’ll complete your paperwork as required, but if it’s something we can help with we might be able to provide you with treatment on the spot. With in-house labs at many locations, you could be on your way without the need for a second visit. You’ll be required to check in separately and apart from your immigration physical, to be seen and evaluated as a patient for evaluation and treatment of your condition.

  • What if I’m on my route and can’t visit my local AFC?

You can stop into any AFC, any time. Check out our list of locations to find the one nearest you. Your immigration physical paperwork must be completed at the location it was started at.
