There are three different types of dehydration symptoms ranging from mild to moderate and severe. When our bodies are losing fluids quicker than we are replacing them, we have a higher risk of becoming dehydrated.
Mild to moderate symptoms include;
- Minor thirst
- Headache
- Dizziness/light headed
- Decreased urine output
- Constipation
If you are suffering from any of these mild symptoms and are a healthy adult, you can properly treat it by slowly taking in fluids (predominantly water). You should seek medical treatment immediately if you suffer from any of these severe dehydration symptoms such as;
- Nausea/Diarrhea
- Confusion/hallucination
- Loss of consciousness
- No urine output
- Elevated temperature
- Low blood pressure
- Rapid heartbeat/breathing
- Fainting
