Job Title : Medical Assistants
Job Description
Objective: Assist physicians in overall patient care, including phlebotomy, lab duties, triaging, greeting and registering patients and handle front office administrative tasks.
Reports to: Center administrator.
Primary Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to:
- Escort patient to room
- Take vital signs, triage and scribe for physicians
- Draw blood, specimen handling, conduct tests (CBC, CMP, Urinalysis, Rapid Strep/Flu, Glucose(finger), mono), splinting/strapping
- Document patient information (Including detailed information for Workers Comp and No Fault visits)
- Assist physician in every facet of patient care
- Discharge patients from room with instructions
- Clean rooms
- Ensure patient flow is speedy and organized
- Inventory supplies, replenish supplies when received
- Assist in maintaining lab and medical equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of the facility
- Greet and register patients; verify insurance
Position Requirements:

- Minimum of 1-year experience in a medical office setting
- Able to adapt to different physician styles and needs
- Associates Degree/Certification required

Job Title : X-Ray Technologist
Job Description
The AFC Urgent Care X-ray Tech conducts radiologic procedures to provide data to assist in the diagnosis of patients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operates x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
- Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
- Positions patients utilizing immobilization devices.
- Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Splinting and strapping patients as needed.
X-Ray Tech will also serve as backups to medical assistants and medical receptionists which includes triaging, conducting tests, patient registration, insurance verification, and more.
Position Requirements:
- Associates degree graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers.
- ARRT Certification.
- Current Certification in Basic Life Support
- Phlebotomy is a plus.
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Job Description
To accurately check patients in and out by verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records and accounts. Maintain patient flow. Provide positive patient relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing the facility, opening all systems applications, and preparing new patient registration packets and required documents
- Greet patients, provide patients initial paperwork, and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards.
- Register patients, update patient records, and verify insurance accurately and timely
- Follow company procedures related to workers' compensation and occupational medicine patients
- Determine, collect and process patient payments and address collection and billing issues
- Discharge patients accurately and timely by collecting balances, providing patient documentation, and following discharge procedures
- Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests
- Balance daily patient charges (cash and credit cards) against system reports
- Complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentation and submitting required reports
- Prepare, sign, and drop the deposit in the safe on a nightly basis
- Complete cash control procedures and secure financial assets
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Maintain office supplies
- Observe safety and security procedures; promote a safe and pleasant work environment
- Report potentially unsafe conditions to management
- Regular attendance to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
