Getting an Immigration Physical at AFC Urgent Care Englewood

Your immigration physical is a routine medical exam required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to confirm that you meet health-related eligibility criteria. Here’s what you can expect during your immigration physical:

  • Health History Review: We’ll go over your medical background, including past illnesses, surgeries, and vaccinations.
  • Physical Examination: Our provider will perform a general health check, similar to an annual physical.
  • Lab Tests: We’ll run the necessary diagnostic tests and blood work to check for certain conditions.
  • Vaccination Review & Updates: If you’re missing any required vaccinations, we can administer them during your visit.
  • Form I-693: Once everything is complete, we’ll seal your medical exam results in an envelope for USCIS and give you a copy for your records.

The entire process is typically completed within one visit, but if follow-ups are needed (for lab test results or additional vaccines), we’ll guide you on the next steps.

AFC Urgent Care FAQs

  • How long will the exam take?

AFC offers some of the lowest wait times around, with many patients getting in to see a provider in less than 15 minutes. Your exam will probably take around a half hour.

  • What happens if my physical reveals I have a medical problem?

We’ll complete your paperwork as required, but if it’s something we can help with we might be able to provide you with treatment on the spot. With in-house labs at many locations, you could be on your way without the need for a second visit. You’ll be required to check in separately and apart from your immigration physical, to be seen and evaluated as a patient for evaluation and treatment of your condition.

  • What if I’m on my route and can’t visit my local AFC?

You can stop into any AFC, any time. Check out our list of locations to find the one nearest you. Your immigration physical paperwork must be completed at the location it was started at.
