AFC Urgent Care Bridgeport and Fairfield Receive National Recognition
Out of 160 Centers, AFC Corporate Honors the Bridgeport and Fairfield Sites With Two Distinguished Awards
(Fairfield, Conn. – May 11, 2016) – Dr. Steven Heffer, owner and medical director of AFC Urgent Care in Bridgeport, CT and Fairfield, CT, received national recognition during American Family Care’s National Conference last week held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
American Family Care (AFC) Urgent Care is the largest national chain of urgent care walk-in clinics with over 160 centers in the United States. Dr. Steven Heffer was awarded two distinguished awards for his strive and impact within the Fairfield County: “President’s Award” and the “Rookie of the Year Award.”
According to AFC headquarters’ Visit Count Report, AFC Urgent Care in Bridgeport has consistently been among the top 10 clinics nationwide by patient visit counts over the last year. Since the opening of the center in March 2014, the center has been honored with numerous City and community awards. This year, the Bridgeport center was awarded the “President’s Award” from AFC Corporate for their generated numbers in revenue.
Focused on delivering exceptional service and patient experience, AFC Urgent Care offers a one-stop medical resource for children, adults, college students and local businesses. The Fairfield center marked the seventh AFC location in Connecticut and the second launched by Dr. Heffer. By ranking as the Owner with the highest community impact within a short period of time, Dr. Heffer was awarded the “Rookie of the Year Award” from AFC Corporate for his rapid expansion.
