DOT Physicals
According to the federal government, anyone applying for or holding a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must complete a physical examination approximately every two years by a certified DOT examiner.
A DOT physical exam is used to measure your ability to properly drive and operate a commercial vehicle. Not only are you ensuring that you’re fully capable of operating a commercial vehicle, you’re also ensuring the safety of other drivers on the road.
At AFC Urgent Care Fairfield, we administer comprehensive, low-cost DOT exams, with no appointment or referral necessary.
Our exam includes:
- Medical history review
- Urinalysis
- Drug screening
- Review of lung, hearing, and vision
- Measurement of weight, height, blood pressure, and pulse
Please be sure to bring the following to your DOT physical:
- Current state Driver’s License
- Glasses or contacts
- List of past medical history
- Contact list of doctors and specialists
- Prescription bottles, current medications, and any over the counter medications that you take.
Please read our full guide on our DOT physicals.
