For children and young adults, injuries and illnesses often occur unexpectedly and suddenly. This holds especially true for young people who participate in sports. Many times, these injuries aren’t necessarily life-threatening but they’re still painful and inhibiting. A primary care physician will likely be too booked to accommodate a patient right away, so the options may seem limited.

However, with AFC Urgent Care Methuen available on a walk-in basis, the residents of Essex County have a new urgent care option in town. Our services extend far beyond just sports-related injuries, too. Our providers can accommodate students seven days a week if they’re in need of a sports physical.

Also, for college students, our facility behaves as an alternative to your university’s health center. We offer far more services with longer hours. We know money is tight in college, so all we charge as a copay is predominantly just your standard office copay – not the pricey copay required at the ER.
