Remote Tele-heath Urgent Care Physician & Nurse Visits

What is a Telehealth Visit (Virtual Doctor's Consult)

You can now meet our providers without ever having to step into the clinic! Use your computer or smartphone to video conference with your health care provider at a place and time of your choosing. No more driving to the clinic and spending time in waiting rooms. The entire appointment process can be completed online and is available 7 days a week!

Most importantly your virtual consults with our board-certified physicians are covered by your health insurance plan! So feel free to call us at 978-922-2171 if you have more questions or book your consults now.

How do we provide the same quality of health care remotely?

When you book a tele-health appointment, you can rest assured that your health will remain our highest priority. A tele-health appointment is neither a casual conversation with a doctor nor a method to get emergency care (Remember: If you have a medical emergency always dial 9-1-1). However these virtual consults can be a time saver for many minor concerns. Our remote consults follow strict mandated guidelines and protocols to ensure that patients who do not physically need to be present in our clinic for testing and detailed examination do not have to come in.

Cost and Appointment Details

Cost to you under most insurance plans is zero as most insurers have realized the need for tele-medicine in the post COVID-19 world. The cost of a virtual visit for self-pay patients is $99 prior to the video conference. If insurance information is provided, a claim will be filed on your behalf, including Medicaid and Medicare patients. Appointments may be booked via phone at 978-922-2171 or online. You will be asked to complete your registration paperwork if this is your first time using tele-health facilities. When registering, you will choose a time and enter your phone number so that you can be texted a Solv verification code, to finalize your booking.

Once the visit is confirmed, please verify that all medical/insurance paperwork, credit card information and your phone number is correct so that we may reach you in case we need more details. Prior to your appointment you will receive a call from our AFC medical staff with a few medical history questions to prepare our providers for your call. Once your provider is ready for your appointment, you will receive a text message and email with a link where you will join the video chat.

AFC Urgent Care FAQs

  • When should I choose urgent care?

If you’re dealing with a pressing, non-life-threatening medical issue and don’t want to see a doctor, urgent care could be for you. AFC walk-in clinics are able to see patients dealing with allergic reactions, broken bones, colds and flus, and much more.

  • Do I need insurance to visit AFC?

At AFC we offer very competitive rates for self-pay urgent care and walk-in clinic services. We understand that not everyone may have an insurance plan and we make sure that our out-of-pocket patients are given the same high-quality medical treatment that we give to all our patients.

  • How long will my visit take?

The main advantage of choosing AFC is our short wait times – often under 15 minutes. The total length of your visit will depend on what you’re being seen for, but many patients can be in and out of our clinics in around 30 minutes.
