How Do I Get Tested?

In order to get tested for COVID-19 at AFC Urgent Care in Narberth, Pennsylvania, all you need to do is schedule an appointment through our website or by calling us at (484) 270-8600. No provider’s referral is required! When you arrive for your testing appointment, you can check in at the front desk. If you require antibody testing, we will draw a small vial of blood from your arm to perform the test. On the other hand, if you need molecular testing for a COVID-19 diagnosis, a medical professional will take swabs from your nose. After the blood or swabs are taken, we will either analyze the test at our facility or send it away for more in-depth analysis.

How long before I get my test results?

The length of time it takes to receive your COVID-19 test results depends on the type of test and the testing facility’s capacity.

• For send-out tests – the Lab has advised that the COVID-19 test results will be received within 48-72 hours (this may change without notice based on how busy the lab gets) after the swab tests are done. Our staff will call you with the test result when we receive it from the lab. With molecular or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, it usually takes a few days and up to a week to get results back.
• Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Test results are available within the same day as early as an hour after your test.
