An allergic reaction can happen because of any type of trigger. These triggers, however, fall into four different categories: animal dander, dust mites, mold and mildew, and pollen. If you experienced any of the above mentioned symptoms, you can find out about the trigger using our allergy test. It is a painless skin test that provides answers in just 15 minutes.
Testing positive in the skin test allows you to learn about your condition and get the allergy treatment you need. AFC Urgent Care offers sublingual immunotherapy to effectively reduce your sensitivity to allergens. It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration and safe to take with your allergy medications.
The cost of each vaccine is different. You will be contacted by our medical team after you submit the Travel Vaccination Questionnaire, and they will let you know the cost of each vaccine.
For insured patients,we collect your deductible and/or your co-pay at the time of service, and then bill your insurer for you. After your insurer sends an EOB (explanation of benefits) to us, AFC Urgent Care will bill you for any balance still due.
Our staff will discuss any other recommended treatment or services,(such as an x-ray or a lab test) with you.
There is a range of costs for the office visit depending on the complexity of the medical problem. We discount all of our rates for patients without medical insurance.

Our fees are fixed, but the amount that your insurance company covers depends on your specific plan, coverage and deductible. After your insurer produces an EOB (explanation of benefits), if there is a balance due, we will bill you for the remaining balance.
There are different ways to tell if you are having an allergic reaction. Sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and sinus headaches are the most common. Asthma and skin rashes also happen in some cases. Ear infection, eye irritation, and muscle or joint pain are more serious. These prompt you to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Urgent care is for conditions that require prompt attention but do not pose an immediate, serious threat to your health or life. In general, if your medical issue is life threatening call 911 or go directly to a hospital emergency room. If not, an Urgent Care Center such as AFC Urgent Care is an excellent alternative.
We specialize in fast and effective physician care, for most non-life threatening conditions due illness or injury, as well as preventive care, travel medicine, allergy testing, and employers services. We bridge the gap between a primary care physician and the ER, providing extended hours, seven days a week, with CLIA certified labs, digital x-ray, splints & braces, vaccines, prescriptions & some non-narcotic medications.
However, if you have a life-threatening condition or emergency, you should always call 911 and seek a hospital ER.
