What type of medical treatment do you provide?
We specialize in fast and effective medical care, for most non-life-threatening conditions due to illness or injury, as well as preventive care, travel medicine, and employers services. We bridge the gap between a primary care physician and the ER, by providing extended hours, seven days a week, with state of the art, digital x-ray, splints & braces, vaccines, and more. However, if you have a life-threatening condition or emergency, you should always call 911 and/or seek a hospital ER.
How much is a typical visit?
For insured patients,we collect your deductible and/or your co-pay at the time of service, and then bill your insurer for you. After your insurer sends an EOB (explanation of benefits) to us, AFC Urgent Care will bill you for any balance still due. We have affordable self-pay options as well.
I am going abroad, do you offer travel immunizations?
Yes we offer travel immunizations, but we recommend coming for a visit 1-2 months prior to your travel date to make sure that we have all of the vaccines you need. If the vaccine you need is not available at the time of your visit, we can refer you to a more specialized clinic to provide you the vaccine you need. We also offer prescriptions for medications to prevent certain diseases depending on where you plan to travel. Consider calling our clinic at 240-771-0801 to inquire more.
If I have insurance, will I get a bill after my visit?
Our fees are fixed, but the amount that your insurance company covers depends on your specific plan, coverage and deductible. After your insurer produces an EOB (explanation of benefits), if there is a balance due, we will bill you for the remaining balance.
Can I get a discount?
Our rates are very affordable for self-pay patients. For insured patients, coverage depends on your plan and deductible.
How much will the visit cost if I have no insurance?
There is a range of costs for the office visit depending on the complexity of the medical problem. We discount all of our rates for patients without medical insurance.
