Whether you’re out on the baseball field or running on the track, injuries can occur. It is important to be aware of injuries that can occur during play, and how to prevent them.
At AFC Urgent Care Shelton, our board-certified providers and experienced medical staff can diagnose sport injuries for both children and adults.
Some injuries we’ve seen at our urgent care center include:

At AFC Urgent Care Shelton, we have an on-site x-ray system to evaluate and treat sport injuries on a walk-in basis. We’re open longer hours than most doctor’s offices and offer treatment at half the cost and wait time of an emergency room visit.
While our urgent care center is equipped to handle a range of common sport and orthopedic injuries, there are cases where athletes visit us with concussion symptoms. Depending upon the severity of the concussion, our providers can refer the patient to HeadZone Concussion Care in Shelton, CT.
HeadZone provides full medical services for recovery management of concussions and post-concussion syndrome. This includes ImPACT testing, King-Devick testing and concussion evaluations and treatment.
HeadZone provides comprehensive concussion care for children and adults alike.
