We are in the season of apple picking, pumpkin spiced lattes and fall sport practices beginning! Whether you are cheering for your kid’s sport team or participating in an adult sports league, injuries can occur. It is important to be preventative and aware of these injuries when out on the field.
At AFC Urgent Care, our board certified providers and experienced medical staff can diagnose sport injuries for both children and adults. Below are some common cases we have seen:

Although AFC Urgent Care can take care of the common sport and orthopedic injuries, there are cases where athletes come into the urgent care center with concussion symptoms. Our providers see the patient, diagnose then refer the patient to HeadZone Concussion Care in Shelton, CT.
HeadZone provides full medical services for recovery management of concussions and post-concussion syndrome. This includes ImPACT testing, King-Devick testing and concussion evaluations and treatment.
