Does AFC Urgent Care Southcenter Accept Insurance?
We do our best to keep our rates competitive and affordable for patients. We offer discounts to self-paying patients without insurance. We work with most medical insurance providers including Premera, Regence, Cigna, First Choice Health, United Healthcare, Veterans Affairs, Humana, Medicare, and more with the exception of State Insurance (Medicaid). What Ages Does AFC Southcenter Offer Care for?
At AFC Urgent Care Southcenter, we treat patients over the age of 4. For children who are experiencing severe symptoms, we will refer you to the Seattle Children's South Clinic in Federal Way.
Can I Get a Physical Exam at AFC Southcenter?
Yes! AFC Urgent Care Southcenter offers physical exams for routine issues like school, sports, or camp participation! We also offer immigration physicals for anyone applying for U.S. Citizenship and DOT physical exams for anyone applying for their Commercial Driver's License. We also can provide pre-employment physical exams to prospective employees for local businesses.
Does AFC Urgent Care Offer Lab Testing?
AFC Southcenter has a full laboratory on-site! If you require lab testing services, whether it is for an illness diagnosis or routine bloodwork, simply walk into AFC Southcenter! Our lab is able to service a wide range of tests on-site, however, certain testing may need to be sent out for analysis. Our lab provides the following services on a walk-in basis:
- CBCs – These tests check for anemia or signs of infection.
- Urinalysis - Check for pregnancy, and infections and can be used for drug screening.
- Cultures – These test for strep throat and the flu.
- Chemistry – Our chemistry tests check for signs of dehydration, electrolyte abnormalities (potassium, sodium, etc), and liver function abnormalities.
Our lab also can be used for routine STD/STI testing services including testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Chlamydia, Syphilis, HIV, Herpes, and Gonorrhea.
Can I Get X-Rays at AFC Southcenter?
Yes! Whether you have experienced an injury in the workplace or simply require X-ray imaging for illness or injury diagnosis - AFC Southcenter can help. Our X-ray imaging suite is available on a walk-in basis. We can provide care for a variety of common acute injuries including broken bones, dislocated joints, fractures, sprains, and more. If your injury is severe or life-threatening, you should seek care in the ER.
