Our provider team can consult patients, evaluate injuries, diagnose symptoms, and recommend coordinated care all through telemedicine. All our patients need is audio and video capabilities to get the care they need. Most insurance plans cover telemedicine, but we advise speaking with your health plan administrator to double check. All copays and payments are due before the visit on the day of service. This is a non-refundable service, if you need to come into the office for further evaluation a new charge will accrue at that time for the new visit. We offer a great cash option for non-insured patients, please call us for pricing.

Telemedicine is defined as the practice of using technology to deliver medical from a distance, according to the American Academy of Family Physicians. Patients can connect to providers through a dedicated portal, with an internet connection and computer with audio/video capabilities. Our provider team can then provide a variety of urgent care services, treatment recommendations, and other crucial services through digital means.

Telemedicine is ideal for patients that need to get care but are unable to travel at the moment. A virtual visit allows our provider team to provide detailed and collaborative care for a variety of needs.

  • Bug Bites

  • Sore Throat (May require a visit to AFC OR LAB if suspecting Strep or requiring strep testing-separate cost/ Insurance)
  • Diarrhea
  • Outer ear infections
  • Eye infection, pinkeye, styes
  • Head Lice
  • Birth control renewal – (Will require a visit to the nearest lab for a culture- separate cost/ insurance)
  • Infected toenail or fingernail
  • Minor Burns
  • Minor Rashes (e.g. Impetigo, Shingles, Ringworm)
  • Newly onset cough
  • Refill certain medications for 1 month or less
  • Sinus Infection or Sinusitis
  • Simple STD’s or STI’s (Will require lab visit-separate cost/ insurance)
  • (Unable to see: STD/STI lesions, vaginal examination, neuro symptoms)
  • Fever
  • Urinary Tract Infections (Will require a visit to the nearest lab for a culture- separate cost/ insurance)
  • TB-QuantiFERON Orders (Will require lab visit separate cost/ insurance)

Here is an exclusion list of telemedicine service

THAT ARE UNAVAILABLE THROUGH VIRTUAL VISITS:

  • No INNER ear infection
  • No narcotic or controlled substance including new or renewal of any kind.
  • No prescriptions over one month
  • No Chest Pain
  • No Pelvic/genital/rectal/breast exams
  • No psychiatric conditions
  • No emergency symptoms including Dial 911 (chest pain, shortness of breath, allergic reaction, choking, altered consciousness, head or neck injury)
  • No Pregnancy, birth control no new prescriptions or birth control advice
  • No Workers' Compensation or Occupational Health visits
  • No Referrals to specialists
  • No Physicals or Sport Physicals
  • No Suturing, suturing removal or wound care
