What Is The Difference Between Diagnostic Testing And Antibody Testing?
COVID-19 diagnostic testing is performed via a swab of the lower nasal cavity. The swab is then sent to our lab where it is tested for the active COVID-19 virus. Antibody testing is performed using a blood draw and can only detect past infection, not the active virus. Results from the diagnostic test are available the same day, while antibody results take a couple of days to process.
