PA Statewide totals of COVID-19 reach 92,148 cases

The Department of Public Health confirmed that statewide cases of COVID-19 brought the state total to nearly 92,148 cases currently. The DPH stated that all counties in PA have cases of COVID-19 and that the number of new cases increased by 849 in the opening week of July.

Currently, there are nearly 6,812 COVID-19 deaths in the state as testing continues to ramp up. The state estimates that 112,000 + tests have been administered for patients. Hospitalizations in the state from coronavirus are mostly patients 65 and older. Per the DPH:

There are 635 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure, which are considered probable cases and not confirmed cases. There are 774,378 patients who have tested negative to date. Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:

Nearly 1% are ages 0-4;

1% are ages 5-12;

Nearly 3% are ages 13-18;

Nearly 8% are ages 19-24; 

37% are ages 25-49; 

Nearly 24% are ages 50-64; and

Nearly 27% are ages 65 or older.

Bucks County has 5,425 confirmed cases with 40,515 negative cases (July-9-2020)

The active infections dashboard from the DPH reports that there are 5,425 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bucks Country with 542 new probable cases and 40,515 negative cases reported so far. Since the end of May 2020, daily cases dropped significantly while cumulative cases are starting to flatten. However, patients still need to be highly cautious as cases may spike.
