Dr. Ifthikar Ali, MD, Medical Director

Ifthikar Ali, MD brings many years of experience in both urgent care and family care to AFC Urgent Care Danbury. He earned his medical degree from Punjab Medical College in Pakistan and later completed his internship in General Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and residency in Nuclear Medicine at East Danbury West Hospital, CT. Dr Ali is board certified in 2 specialties and his accomplishments have been recognized in numerous publications and awards.

Dr. Ali is heavily engaged in full spectrum clinical care, including outpatient, procedures, adult inpatient, and pediatric care st AFC Urgent Care Danbury. He is a certified USCIS Civil Surgeon, allowing him to perform full immigration physicals, and is interested in workforce needs and collaboration with employers inoccupational medicine & workers’ compensation. Dr. Ali is committed to providing medical care with the highest standards of excellence and committed to patients understanding their illnesses and treatment. Dr. Ali is happily married with three beautiful daughters and enjoys spending time with his family, watching hockey, soccer and a BBQ connoisseur. Dr. Ali is fluent in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.

Haig Dodakian – Physician Assistant

Haig graduated from University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Allied Health Sciences and went on to get his Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Before coming to he worked in Orthopedic surgery. When not busy providing the best service possible at he can be found powerlifting, hiking and tinkering with cars. Haig speaks limited Armenian.

Richard- Registered Medical Assistant

Richard graduated from Porter and Chester Institute 8 years ago where he received clinical and clerical training. He completed 160 hours during his internship at Associated Pulmonologists of Western CT, and was able to put his knowledge and skills into practice for 5 years. He has extensive work experience in the hospital and ER setting. Worked as a specimen procurement and phlebotomy technician at East Danbury West Hospital. Richard is bi-lingual and specializes in phlebotomy. Completed his EMT training through East Danbury West Hospital, and is not done furthering his education. When he is not working he is busy chasing his two little boys. Richard enjoys weight lifting and spending time with his family.
