Iftikhar Ali, MD, Medical Director
Ifthikar Ali, MD, is the Regional Medical Director at AFC Urgent Care for Greater Hartford. He brings many years of experience in both urgent care and family care to AFC Urgent Care. He earned his medical degree from Punjab Medical College in Pakistan and later completed his internship in General Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and residency in Nuclear Medicine at Danbury Hospital, CT. Dr Ali is board certified in 2 specialties and his accomplishments have been recognized in numerous publications and awards.
In addition to Dr. Ali’s role as Medical Director, he is heavily engaged in full spectrum clinical care, including outpatient, procedures, adult inpatient, and pediatric care. He is a certified USCIS Civil Surgeon, allowing him to perform full immigration physicals, and is interested in workforce needs and collaboration with employers in occupational medicine & Workers' Compensation. Dr. Ali is committed to providing medical care with the highest standards of excellence and committed to patients understanding their illnesses and treatment.
Dr. Ali is happily married with three beautiful daughters and enjoys spending time with his family, watching hockey, soccer and a BBQ connoisseur.
Dr. Ali is fluent in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.
Todd Bickmore, MD
Dr. Bickmore wasn’t always a Physician. in fact, he started off as an Electrician and as part of his training in that field, was required to take a basic first aid course including CPR. As fate would have it, one day one of his colleagues collapsed on the job site in cardiac arrest, so he started CPR until the ambulance arrived, and they shocked him back to life! He felt so good afterward, that he decided to start a new career, medicine.
In 1988, he began his education as an EMT and has never turned back. Since then, Dr. Bickmore worked as an EMT and eventually a paramedic. In 1996, he became a career firefighter with the town of East Hartford and then went on to become a Physician Assistant. In 2009 he went to medical school and became a Physician. He completed his residency in 2012 in Altoona Pennsylvania worked a few years in primary care and as a Hospitalist…. and then found this great company.
Dr. Bickmore is married with 2 grown children. His daughter is a freshman in college and his son is in medical school. Hobbies include cooking, and his house usually smells like an Italian kitchen. He has 2 dogs, a cat, a lizard and about 100 fish, plays guitar and sings karaoke.
Donna Lovallo, Director of Operations
Donna has extensive experience working in a range of settings from large hospitals to small medical offices. She graduated from Bristol Hospital School of Radiologic Technologies and Quinnipiac University and previously worked at St. Mary’s hospital as well as St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Donna was born and raised in Connecticut and adores spending time with her grandchildren.
Brandon Batory, Physician Assistant
Brandon graduated from Springfield College with a BS in Health Sciences and a MS in Physician Assistant Studies. He is a Certified Fitness Trainer by the International Sports Science Association as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. When not working Brandon helps coach strength and conditioning and is an assistant football coach at Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford, CT. Besides coaching Brandon enjoys cooking and being active: playing basketball, football, and golf, and weightlifting.
