AFC Urgent Care is proud to announce that we will be making it apart if our mission to help Veterans in the community. The Mission Act will allow Veterans to access local community Urgent Cares without prior authorization! Eligible Veterans will be covered for visits with AFC Urgent Care providers for any urgent care services such as:
- acute illness, injuries
- non-life-threatening symptoms
- flu-like symptoms
- strep throat, minor burns
- pink eye, ear/skin infections
- urgent medication requests
The benefit also covers diagnostic services like x-rays and some lab testing. Vaccines are covered when they are required as part of the urgent care treatment. For example, tetanus shot for a vet seeking treatment for a wound caused by a rusted metal object. Flu shots are also covered. There’s no limit on the number of times an eligible veteran can access urgent care. There is no out-of-pocket copayment required. “We are honored to be able to serve those who have served our country," said Dr. Iftikhar Ali, Medical Director of AFC. “Our helpful staff will verify the Veteran’s eligibility before providing care to ensure treatment is covered.
