What to Expect

AFC Urgent Care West Long Branch is located in the center of West Long Branch, NJ, at 214 State Highway 36. Upon arrival, you will notice there are plenty of parking spots, many of them located ten feet or less from our front door.

Our comfortable waiting area is brightly lit, clean and spacious to enhance your experience. Please begin checking in for your appointment or walk-in visit at our iPad kiosk. One of our friendly front desk staff will assist you shortly. For your convenience, we offer electronic registration for you to complete from your mobile device in our office, or prior to your visit to minimize your registration time. You can upload your photo ID and insurance information securely right from your smart device. However, we also have printed paperwork to fill out if you prefer.

As soon as an exam room becomes available, a member of our clinical team will greet you and walk you down to the open room. During this time, we will gather relevant health information including, vital signs, health history, medications, and any other information that can help us efficiently diagnose your ailment.

Once all the information we need is gathered, one of our providers will join you in the examination room. He or she will go over your symptoms, provide a thorough examination, and determine if any further digital x-rays or laboratory testing is needed. Upon examination, our providers will be sure to address any questions or concerns you may have; we want to make sure each patient is comfortable with the diagnosis and fully understands the provider’s instructions.

After the provider has finished all examinations and answered all your questions, you will be directed back to our waiting area while your discharge instructions are being prepared. We will electronically send any prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice and are able to arrange follow-up visits at this time. Provided you are comfortable with the provider’s diagnosis and have no other questions, we will provide you with a printed copy of your discharge papers including details of the visit, prescriptions, aftercare instructions, follow-up information, and any other relevant paperwork.
