Virtual Visit at AFC Urgent Care in Wichita, KS
A Note To Our Patients, Family And Friends:
During this time of great challenge and uncertainty due to the novel Coronavirus Infection (Covid 19) event, we want to reassure everyone that AFC Urgent Care is here for you. Please know that the health, safety and well-being of our patients and staff remain our absolute top priority. This is a responsibility each and every one of us take very seriously. As we continue to carefully monitor the situation with the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and our local health agencies, we are taking many additional precautions to safeguard the safety of our patients and staff.
Despite all the focused concerns over COVID-19, we realize that a vast array of other illnesses and healthcare issue still occur and often require immediate care. Seasonal Flu this year has been particularly aggressive and infectious. The flu is still very active and can mimic COVID-19. Flu infection can contribute to the death of far more people than COVID-19. The good news is the flu, unlike COVID-19, is easily diagnosed and treated at AFC Urgent Care. If you are currently without symptoms, we do recommend a flu shot, even if you have had one earlier in the year as its effectiveness will have decreased over time.
Rest assured that you can expect the same great patient-centered care delivered with minimal wait times. American Family Care Medical Centers remain open 7-days a week to treat non-life threatening acute illnesses and injuries due to accidents and trauma. Also know also that clinic wait times have been minimal so you can be seen and treated quickly.
