If you are applying for citizenship or permanent residency (also known as a Green Card), you will need an immigration physical as part of your application. For a valid physical, it must be administered by a USCIS Designated Civil Surgeon. AFC Urgent Care Willow Grove has a certified doctor on staff throughout the week and is experienced in administering this physical. At our urgent care center, we complete all of the required paperwork and process all of the needed testings, and we have most of the necessary vaccines in stock at our clinic.

Our state-of-the-art urgent care center is equipped with a digital x-ray and onsite lab, allowing us to process all tests needed for an immigration physical easily. These tests include x-rays, TB testing, immunization screens, and blood testing.

The staff at our urgent care center are highly experienced and will make your Immigration Physical as comfortable as possible. Our experts will guide you through the different tests and vaccinations that are needed. These requirements can be different depending on your medical history and age. What Is Included In My Immigration Physical?

When you visit AFC Urgent Care Willow Grove, your Immigration Physical will include:

• A review of your available medical records
• Physical evaluation
• All necessary paperwork that is required will be completed
• Evaluation and verification of vaccine history
• Evaluation of all physical and mental abnormality, disease, or disability
• Access to vaccines and other services that are needed to complete your paperwork*

*Most immigration physicals typically need additional vaccinations, blood tests, TB blood test (T-Spot), and possibly a chest X-ray to complete a certified application. All of these services are available at our center at affordable rates. Please do not receive additional vaccines before talking with our doctor, as this could affect the TB screening.

What Must I Bring To AFC Urgent Care Willow Grove For My Immigration Physical?

• A valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport with a government-issued picture
• Vaccine/Immunization Records
• Hospital or Clinic records including proof of prior treatment for Tuberculosis and other infectious diseases
• Prior Chest X-Rays and/or other Diagnostic Tests if applicable
• Any Mental health records
• Payment (ALL PAYMENTS ARE REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF SERVICE. CASH, CREDIT, DEBIT IS ACCEPTED)

What Can I Expect At AFC Urgent Care Willow Grove For An Immigration Physical?

While you do not need an appointment to access our services at AFC Urgent Care Willow Grove, we ask that you call ahead to ensure we have a provider available. Immigration physicals are available at our clinic Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm. Please also call ahead if you are coming with a group. Immigration physicals typically take two to three hours for one person so multiple exams may take some time. The fees for services are due at the time of that service. Please bring a translator if you need help with the process and to speak with our USCIS Civil Surgeon.

When you visit AFC Urgent Care Willow Grove, you will meet with our Immigration Administrator. They will review the entire process and give you the needed paperwork. It is at this time that we will collect your medical and vaccination history that you have brought with you to the clinic. No vaccinations will be considered valid unless they have documentation. When your paperwork is completed, one of our staff members will take you to a private exam room after your vitals are taken. There you will meet with our Civil Surgeon, where they will administer the physical part of your Immigration Physical. If there are any vaccines needed or if a blood draw is required, this is when it will take place.

After this part of your visit, the physical portion is complete. If you need a T-Spot (tuberculosis blood test), you must allow some time for it to be processed. If you receive a test for syphilis, also known as an RPR, it will take up to five days to obtain those results. With this in mind, please allow a minimum of seven days from your first visit to call us to see if your immigration physical is completed. Once finished, you can come to AFC Urgent Care Willow Grove to pick up your completed USCIS Certified Immigration Physical packet.

How Do I Pick Up My Completed USCIS Certified Immigration Packet?

When your test results are finalized, our staff will call you and let you know your packet is ready for pickup. At that time, you will receive a sealed envelope. Inside will be your completed, certified packet for you to hand over to your Immigration Lawyer or Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services. Do not open this envelope or your immigration physical will be invalid. We will give you a copy of your entire packet for your records.
