AFC Urgent Care, Wilmington is now offering post-COVID-19 screening and treatment options for patients that have tested positive in the past. With the understanding that there are concerns following a positive COVID-19 test, we've identified tried and true methods to provide you medical direction from one of our board-certified medical providers. Our goal is to provide you the tests, screening options, and information you need to best take care of yourself and your loved ones.
Health Screening - Personalized for your concerns/needs
May include but not limited to:
Provider Visit-a thorough physical examination; includes a variety of tests depending on the age and sex and health of the person
Mental status exam- tests cognition to identify short & long term side effects caused by COVID-19
Rapid COVID-19 Antibody testing- can help identify people who may have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus or have recovered from a COVID-19 infections
Pulmonary Function Test (Spirometry)- evaluates lung capacity to help identify problems/concerns
Electrocardiogram (EKG) - test can often detect heart disease, heart attack, an enlarged heart, or abnormal heart rhythms that may cause heart failure.
Lab Tests- assesses blood levels for health concerns such as irregularities and developing problems
Thyroid (fatigue)- can help identify cause of fatigue, weight gain/loss, abnormal heart rate, and sensitivity to temprature
CBC (Complete Blood Count)- A complete blood count (CBC) is a blood test used to evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of disorders, including anemia, infection and leukemia.
CMP (Complete Metabolic Panel)- is a blood test that gives doctors information about the body's fluid balance, levels of electrolytes like sodium and potassium, and how well the kidneys and liver are working.
