AFC Beverly offers coast guard physicals in our area to all patients that have to comply with USCG Physical Fitness requirements. In addition, we can also conduct USCG drug testing that may also be required depending on your situation. We can do these exams without prior appointments, you can simply walk into one of our clinics and get your paperwork completed without much delay.
When would you need a USCG Physical?
The most common situations where one would need such physicals are for:
- A Mariner Medical Certificate (CG-719K) – required for Officers and Mariners with a qualified rating
- A Merchant Mariner Medical Certificate for Entry Level Ratings (CG719 K/E)

How long will the exam take?
AFC offers some of the lowest wait times around, with many patients getting in to see a provider in less than 15 minutes. Your exam will probably take around a half hour.

What happens if my physical reveals I have a medical problem?
We’ll complete your paperwork as required, but if it’s something we can help with we might be able to provide you with treatment on the spot. With in-house labs at many locations, you could be on your way without the need for a second visit.
