Mentor STD Testing at AFC Urgent Care
Even though STD testing and treatment is routine for doctors and nurses, we understand that people can be uncomfortable discussing this aspect of their health with their medical care providers. This unease in discussing symptoms and medical issues can often lead to delayed treatment, continued discomfort and possibly permanent and lasting health issues. The stress of worrying and continuously googling symptoms without testing can itself lead to anxiety.
That is why we operate on a walk-in basis without judgement. Our STD testing clinic is open to all patients in our service area of Mentor, Willoughby, Kirtland & Painesville. Our sole aim is to put your mind to ease and ensure that you get treatment if any is indicated by FDA approved STD tests. With an on-site lab for rapid testing and board-certified physicians that will always be on your side no matter what the issue.
Will my Insurace Plan Cover STD Testing?
Yes, your insurance plan will cover STD testing and treatment (if you have an underlying illness or symptoms). We accept most insurance plans offered in Ohio.
What if I don't have insurance? How much will my visit and STD testing cost?
For patients that do not have a health insurance plan, our urgent care clinic offers very affordable prices for STD testing and treatment. We understand that not everyone is part of a comprehensive health plan and offer STD related physician consults at an extremely affordable price. This consultation ensures that a qualified medical doctor examines you and your symptoms only to recommend the most appropriate testing/treatment needed for your case. This also ensures that you don’t spend more on unnecessary tests and get the right advice from a qualified medical professional.
Do you offer anonymous STD testing services?
Yes we do. Your privacy is extremely important to us and we can ensure that your test results are communicated with you alone. Although we accept most insurance plans and credit cards as forms of payment, many of our privacy sensitive patients choose to pay in cash.
There are many different STDs, so the risks will depend on the disease. Cancer, infertility, transmission to sexual partners, and harm to unborn babies are a few risks of leaving STDs untreated.
We’re able to test for some of the most common STDs including gonorrhea, genital warts and herpes, chlamydia, HPV, and more. Call your local clinic for a full rundown of the testing they can provide.
