Come In. Get Vaccinated Today

Vaccinations* or immunizations are your best defense against getting sick. Vaccines successfully stop the spread of contagious diseases, reducing the world’s mortality rate. Thanks to effective vaccines, millions have been able to avoid crippling and life-threatening diseases. Up-to-date vaccines are especially important for children three and under.

Common Walk-In Clinic Immunizations

  • Hepatitis A and hepatitis B
  • Measles/mumps/rubella
  • Influenza (flu shots)
  • Polio, diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTP)
  • Chickenpox (varicella)
  • Pneumococcal

How Vaccines Work

Your body’s immune system works to fight off illnesses. Each time you catch a specific virus, your body can learn how to produce antibodies to fight that specific virus. However, many highly contagious viruses can make someone seriously ill and can be life-threatening. Viruses like measles can even cause blindness.

Vaccines safely teach your body how to develop immunity without you getting sick. A vaccination shot contains a small, weakened strain of a specific disease. Once it enters your system, it shows your body how to naturally produce antibodies for that specific disease. Some vaccines need to be repeated from time to time, such as a flu shot. Others like those for chickenpox can provide lifelong immunity.

*Vaccination availability is subject to location, and we recommend calling ahead to inquire on specific needs or requirements.

How do I get the COVID-19 Vaccine?

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is the best, safest way to not get severely ill. Like all vaccines, the COVID-19 vaccine teaches your body how to develop its own immunity to the virus that causes this illness. A COVID-19 vaccine usually requires two doses. The second shot happens 14 to 28 days after the first. It takes about three weeks after your last shot to develop immunity. Getting a COVID-19 vaccination will depend on availability and guidelines in your state. Contact us about getting a COVID-19 vaccination.
